- Customer Complaint: Vehicle's temperature gauge is moving up and down. We checked the hoses running into and from the radiator and found that they were normal, indicating that the thermostat is opening. There are no codes to report, however after allowing the engine to run for several minutes we found that the temperature gauge is above the normal temperature position. We then performed a combustion test to determine if there is any gas escaping into the cooling system from the cylinder head. The test returned positive. RECOMMENDATION: Replace the cylinder head gasket.
- CYLINDER HEAD GASKET – Remove & Replace – 2.5L Eng,Normally Aspirated Both – [Includes: Remove carbon and check surfaces for warpage. Includes adjust Valves (where applicable) and clean and adjust Spark Plugs.]
- (Combination) – ENGINE OIL – Drain & Refill
